The picturesque surroundings of Marniga
Marniga is one of 16 hamlets in the municipality of Brenzone and is located on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. This small village has maintained its traditional character to this day and offers tranquility away from the crowds of tourists. However, you can walk to nearby villages with restaurants and stores, the ancient mountain village of Campo, and countless hiking trails.
All that is needed
A few hundred meters from Marniga, Magugnano with its harbor and municipal headquarters is a 5-minute walk away. Here you will find everything you need: a small delicatessen, a bakery, a butcher shop, a supermarket, a pharmacy, and the typical village bar.
Along the lake there are restaurants open for lunch and dinner. From here you can take wonderful walks to the nearby villages of Castelletto and Porto.
The view from Marniga northward
From Marniga, you have a fantastic view over the lake as far north as Riva and the opposite side with its villages and mountains.
At certain times, the bells of the village church will accompany you with various melodies, allowing you to quickly find out what time it is. Just right for escaping the pressure of time.
Castelletto
Castelletto is a half-hour walk south and has a beautiful harbor surrounded by colorful cottages overlooking the lake and excellent seafood restaurants. The village, quite large compared to Marniga and Magugnano, is a short walk from the lake on the main road through idyllic alleys and offers a variety of small stores along the road for daily necessities and vacation souvenirs.
